Emily Armistead is a passionate advocate for the environment and social justice with over 10 years experience in global organisations. Emily devised Greenpeace’s first ever aviation campaign which contributed to the UK government shelving plans for third runway at Heathrow. She also led a hugely creative corporates campaign at ActionAid which attracted record levels of supporter engagement. With Global Witness Emily co-chaired a working group on conflict diamonds whose members included the US government and big name jewellery companies.
Emily is a strong strategic thinker and creative tactician whose experience spans public campaigns, policy and advocacy. She is able to bring people together to develop new ways of working and deliver highly effective outputs. Her issue specialisms include climate change and corporate accountability.
Emily has a degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and lives in London.
