I was invited this week to speak at the Step It Up conference in Auckland, organised by NZ Progress. It was great to get out and share ideas with other New Zealand campaigners, trade unionists and activists.
The news this morning that a Pacific islander may have lost his fight to be recognised as a climate refugee by the New Zealand government reminded me of what a monumental task lies ahead for rights groups.
